It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Thomas Smith on December 1, 2014 at the age of 74. James, cherished husband of Agnes (Nancy). Beloved father of Kim Symonds (Jim), Denise Ducey (Joe) and Ryan. Devoted grandfather of Dayle, Caitlin, Megan, Melissa, Ryan, Olivia and Jimmy. James was the admired brother of Brian (Janette), Anne Hynd (Jim) and Stephen (Liz). A dedicated and long-time member of the Bramalea Celtic Supporters Club. James will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends. Visitation was held at the Scott Funeral Home – Brampton Chapel (289 Main Street North) on December 3, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anne’s Church on Thursday December 4, 2014 at 11 am. A private Cremation has taken place. James’ ashes will be laid to rest at a later date. In loving memory of James, donations to the Spinal Cord Injury Canada (formerly the Canadian Paraplegic Association) would be greatly appreciated by the family and can be made online at www.sci-can.ca.
