<div itemprop="description">Yates, Robert Gordon (Bob) Passed away on Tuesday July 19, 2016. Loving husband to the late Elizabeth Jane Yates and father of much loved Brett (Jennifer) and Michael (Carly). Son of the late Dorothy Yates of Scarborough and Nephew to Grace and (late) Bill Grant and uncle to the (late) David Grant and Cindy Grant of Westhill. Bob was the son-in-law to Margaret Elaine King and the late Lorne Melvin King. Brother-in-law to John (Helen) King of Erin and uncle to Ryan and Sara King. Bob has served 35 years as a paramedic with the Toronto EMS. Bob enjoyed his time at Toronto EMS teaching his paramedic students and working the road saving lives where he was affectionately known as “Billboard Bob”. He gave all his energy, wisdom and knowledge in such a kind way that all his students learned in a non-threatening manner and his wisdom was remembered for years. Bob enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Weslemkoon Lake fishing for bass on his boat, spending time with his twin boys whom he was so proud of, and having a beer from time to time with family and friends. Bob will be resting at Scott Funeral Home (289 Main St. North, Brampton, 905-451-1100). Visitation will be held at Scott’s Funeral Home on Wednesday July 27, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on July 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the North Bramalea United Church (363 Howden Boulevard, Brampton) on Thursday July 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. An inurnment to follow at Meadowvale Cemetery.
