<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pawel Szczepanski after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He will be deeply missed by his wife Maria and his four children Abigail, Rosie, Konrad and Natalie whom he loved dearly. Pawel was born in Bialystok, Poland to Maria and Jan Szczepanski the eldest of 4 boys Piotr, Rafal and Janek. He emigrated to Canada in 1988, married in 1998 and lived a full life until his diagnosis of cancer in early 2015. He fought valiantly to have as much time as possible with his family. Pawel was deeply devoted to his children and left them with great memories and life lessons the last of which was "Have courage and be kind". During his time working at Markham Stouffville Hospital as a Rehab Assistant his passion was treating all his patients with compassion and respect and his unfailing desire to make their lives just a little bit better. Many thanks for the care at Trillium Mississauga and a very special thank you to Dr. Eric Marmor for his valiant efforts. Special gratitude also to Dr. Maida and the exceptional nursing staff and clerical staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Etobicoke General Hospital. Words cannot express how much the family appreciates all of the care that has been given to Pawel over this past year and the family is deeply grateful. A celebration of Pawel's life will be held at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Brampton, Friday May 27, 2016 at 10:30. Visitation will take place at Scotts Funeral Home Brampton Chapel Thursday May 26, 2016 2-4 and 6-8. In lieu of flowers donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Etobicoke General or Trillium Mississauga would be greatly appreciated.</div>
